The association is governed by its Rules and Regulations, adopted by the membership and amended at General Meetings. Rule 1 names it; rule 2 sets its object — to promote and encourage Target Shooting and Archery in Jamaica.
Membership is open to all persons interested in target shooting or archery. The association consists of Gentlemen, Lady, Service, Student, Life, Overseas and Honorary Members; Gentlemen, Lady, Service and Life Members carry a vote.
The Committee makes, repeals and amends the bye-laws and range regulations. Those in effect are posted on the notice board and on the ranges, and are published in the current Rules and Regulations booklet — the appendices below.
