Competitors on the line during a national championship

IPSC Shotgun is a growing discipline at the JRA. Competitors gather to shoot stages which showcase different skillsets and versatility — birdshot, buckshot and slug on the same course of fire, with reloads under the clock.

The match is deliberately club level. Everyone with a shotgun in the race is a winner, as we all learn while having fun, and a Range Officer will walk a first-timer through every stage before it is shot for score.

Entries close: Entries close the Wednesday before the match

Registration & Safety Check
Sign in at the clubhouse and present firearms for the safety check.
8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.
Brief & Stage Walkthrough
Range Officers walk every squad through all four stages.
8:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
Stages One to Four
Squads rotate through the bays. Scores posted stage by stage.
9:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Results & Pack Down
Provisional results read out, then everyone helps strike the stages.
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
